Case Study: Tourette Syndrome or a Misdiagnosis?

Scott is 25 years of age. At age 10, he was diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome and ADHD and stared taking medication for both. He has tried many different medications over the years and was taking an anti-psychotic medication at the time of his testing at the Irlen Institute. Even with the medication, he was having various tics behaviors. In addition, he reported a sense of brain fog, vertigo, and feeling anxious. He has been wearing his Irlen Spectral Filters for only 1½ months and reports his twitching is now nonexistent and he is no longer taking any medication. With his Irlen Spectral Filters and no medication, he reports feeling normal, relaxed, calm, at ease, and not stressed. He no longer has the sense of being in a brain fog and no longer has vertigo. After 15 years of medication, he says that he feels better with his Irlen Spectral Filters than when he was on medication.

    Colorful wishes,
