You Are Never Too Old For Irlen Spectral Filters
Lori Balbuena, Irlen Diagnostician wrote:. This is my story about my dad who is 85 years of age. My dad received his first pair of Irlen Spectral Filters last August. Here are the changes I have noticed: When Mom said she was putting him on the phone, I would dread it, but with his Irlen Spectral Filters, he was not loud, he listened, he engaged, he was kind…It was great! I actually really enjoyed talking to him on the phone, for the first time. Before his Irlen Spectral Filters, he would literally be blind by the sunlight, feeling very insecure, and now that is gone. There are days where his eyes become hazy, especially in cold weather. He said it is so hard to see, sometimes for quite a while. After cataract surgery, his vision became greatly compromised. The eye doctor said he has signs of macular degeneration. With his Irlen Spectal Filters, he reads much more now because he sees so much better with his Irlen Spectral Filters. This is great, because for an 85 year old man in freezing Minnesota, the days are long, and he has always enjoyed reading; a joy that he wasn’t able to partake of for the past few years.

    • Rest and follow your doctor’s instructions
    • Immediately make a list of changes to your ability to function and all new physical symptoms, not just headaches. Note how often these physical symptoms occur and when they occur (with reading, in sunlight lights, in school, at work, under fluorescent lights)

Color, the Key to Workplace Success?

Color might be the key to success at work. Don't settle for getting by when you could be getting ahead. When light acts as a stressor on the brain, the brain isn’t able to correctly process the visual information it receives. The brain works harder, is overactive, and this slows down productivity and puts extra strain and fatigue on the physical system. In simpler terms, you end up working harder with diminishing returns.
