In the early 2000’s, I was fortunate to meet Mrs. Helen Irlen and learned of Helen’s revolutionary research and identification of Irlen Syndrome. As a reading specialist and learning strategist, I recognized the importance of Helen’s work for students and encountered many individuals who had suffered concussions in addition to working with students with learning disabilities.

As a lifelong learner and student-centred educator, I am passionate about delivering engaging and meaningful education and services. I made the decision to become a certified Irlen Screener. I am very grateful to have trained with Judy Pool in Edmonton. I recently completed my PhD in Education in 2021.
